Plast

MaTec

Plast(塑料与橡胶技术展)、Xylexpo(由 Acimall 主办的两年一届国际木材与家具技术展)以及 Composites Future(由 Assocompositi 协办的复合材料展览暨会议)。

Record number of new exhibitors confirms Milan's appeal as Europe's leading plastics fair

Plast 2026 is preparing for its twentieth edition, scheduled for 9-12 June 2026 at Fiera Milano, registering a positive performance despite the complex international geopolitical and economic scenario characterised by trade tensions and instability in global markets.

The Milan-based event, Europe's premier trade fair of the year for the plastics and rubber sector, demonstrates its resilience with over 800 companies having confirmed their participation, including over 160 new exhibitors to date compared to the previous edition, 30% of whom are international companies. This result is particularly significant given the decidedly complex market context, which sees strategic sectors such as automotive undergoing transformation and adaptation to current global dynamics.

The ability to attract new exhibitors in this scenario confirms the solidity and international appeal of Plast and underlines the sector's growing confidence in the Milan event as a reference platform for presenting innovations and developing commercial partnerships.

The organisation also aims to significantly increase the presence of international visitors with representatives from the main destination countries for Italian exports, thanks to buyer delegations organised in collaboration with ICE Agency and strategic agreements with important trade associations, both within the sector and representative of target markets.

A market of strong potential

The "Made in Europe" machinery segment is characterised by a strong export orientation, including towards emerging markets with growing investment propensity, and maintains a strategic role in the global scenario. Access to these markets represents a fundamental lever for consolidating the excellence of European companies, particularly manufacturers of machinery for plastics and rubber processing.

Innovation and technology at the centre

The twentieth edition promises to be an exclusive showcase for the most advanced solutions for the plastics and rubber industries, confirming the tradition of excellence that has characterised the Milan event for decades and responding to growing requirements in terms of technological innovation and environmental sustainability in the sector.

Plast's offering

Together with its three satellite halls – Rubber, 3D Plast and PlastMat – Plast represents the entire supply chain of the plastics and rubber industry, occupying six of MaTec's eight pavilions.

Rubber is dedicated to the rubber sector, from materials to processing technologies, through to industrial applications.

3D Plast explores the frontiers of 3D printing and additive technologies applied to polymers.

PlastMat focuses on innovations in materials, a central theme for the evolution of manufacturing industry.

MaTec

This year Plast becomes part of MaTec, an exhibition project that unites three manufacturing fairs:

Plast (technologies for plastics and rubber), Xylexpo (biennial world exhibition of wood and furniture technologies, organised by Acimall) and Composites Future (exhibition-conference for composite materials, with Assocompositi). The objective is to unite transversal competencies and complementary sectors for an integrated vision of industry.

For example, some machining centres for wood find application also in plastics processing and other materials, whilst wood-plastic composites are particularly high-performing in furniture and construction; the latter is one of the strategic destination sectors for the plants on display at Plast.

As European manufacturing industry undergoes a phase of redefinition accelerated by regulatory pressures, ecological transition and the need to innovate processes and materials, MaTec positions itself as a concrete response: 8 pavilions hosting three complementary fairs to encourage technological cross-pollination and synergies between sectors.

An opportunity to build the future

The integration between three events – Plast, Xylexpo and Composites Future – will enable visitors to experience a complete experience, rich in insights and opportunities.

For exhibiting companies, MaTec represents a strategic investment: the possibility of reaching a broad and qualified audience, generating contacts and strengthening their image. For visitors, it means accessing a unique concentration of competencies, technologies and solutions, with the possibility of comparing with experts, discovering innovations, evaluating suppliers and building partnerships.

The appointment is from 9 to 12 June 2026 in Milan, wher MaTec – through Plast, Xylexpo and Composites Future – will give life to a triple exhibition event that promises to be one of the most significant moments of the year for European manufacturing industry.

Plast

Plast 2026 is Europe's leading trade fair of the year dedicated to the plastics and rubber industry, scheduled for 9-12 June at Fiera Milano. Organised by Promaplast, the event represents the reference platform for the presentation of processing equipment for plastics and rubber and state-of-the-art raw materials for the production of semi-finished and finished products, as well as a unique opportunity for establishing new commercial relationships.
